I know there isn't a lot of info out about this mod yet but I was hoping someone's been using the borer from Rotarycraft.

Twice now the borer has stopped after mining 24 blocks and it begins to spark and make lots of noise.

I have two gasoline engines combining torque through a shaft junction, into a diamond 4:1 gearbox. The Dynamometer reads 131 kW power and 1024 nM torque, which is more than enough to run the borer. It works for awhile but then the sparks start flying.

 

Anyone else having this issue?

1 knM is not enough....You need 1024 for every level of hardness (if you know what I mean).

It can be slow but needs a lot of torque. I've got about 4 or 8 knM but didn't use it for long yet
