Ok so since Iridium doesn't seem to be a natural resource, I would assume you would need to make it with a mass fabricator but its a new version and seems to require more than just EU and scrap. Are there any tutorials or just plain instructions on how to make and use a Mass Fabricator in this pack? Any help would be appreciated.

How to get Iridium?

UU-Matter is now a liquid. I've had trouble with getting it to work too well though. You also need two or three more machines to get the UU-Matter to actually DO something. Put a Replicator and a scanner next to a Storage block (I'm not quite sure what it's called, but it's a machine thing that holds UU-Matter recipes).
I think you basically...
- put whatever item you want to generate in the Scanner, wait for it to finish scanning (you might need some item in the slot of the Scanner; something along the lines of Raw Data Storage...?)
- connect the MF to a liquiduct or something of the like
- put scrap(boxes) in the MF
- supply it power
- wait for a bit of UU-Matter to come out of the pipe
- put the UU-Matter in the Replicator, wait for like 5 minutes for it to replicate
and... out comes a piece!
Repeat steps 3-6 over and over, and you'll be generating 2 bits of iridium in 'no time' (like 10 minutes).
I'm not sure whether you can click from NEI to create something to Scan, but I guess if you want to know more about this stuff, go watch some of Direwolf20's stuff.

You can also randomly find Iridium Ore in dungeon chests, which you can then scan and replicate without the need for a mass fab.
Don't you need UU-Matter to replicate though?

But why exactly would you replicate the UUM item then?
There is no UU-Matter item, you just have to pump the liquid UU into the Replicator so it will replicate the selected item (such as iridium).

Okay, so you do need an iridium from somewhere else to begin with, right?

Well, it's not EMC...
But this was a while ago... like a year or two?

Except there are only a dozen or so things you can Replicate?

Iridium?
I find it frequently between lvl 7 to 11 along with dark iron
Please excuse the late response, but I am having no luck finding or generating Iridium in a Tech World 2 game.
Larkin, Are you saying you find Iridium while mining at those levels? Or is that in the Nether? Or dungeon chests on those levels?
I was under the impression Iridium did not generate in Tech World 2, so mining is not an option. I have chewed through many chunks in both the normal space and the Nether with BC quarries, and have not found a single piece. (Or will a BC quarry not recover any Iridium it digs through?)
Thanks.

Since he mentions finding Dark Iron, I would assume he means the overworld. There is a decent chance of finding Iridium in Dungeon chests or in Stronghold chests.

None populated in the world., No joy in dungeons or strongholds so far.
Is it possible to generate iridium through a process? I thought something to do with platinum but I can't remember how or verify that it works in Tech World 2.
Any help?
