Has anyone here explored the lesser-known beaches in British Columbia? My partner and I are planning a trip, and we’d love to spend time on quieter beaches. Last year, we visited English Bay, and while it was nice, it was super crowded. We're looking for somewhere more peaceful this time around, maybe a bit off the beaten path. I’ve heard about a few places around Vancouver Island but haven't nailed down any specific ones yet. Anyone got any recommendations?

Oh, you should definitely look into the more secluded spots around BC! A lot of people miss out on some of the quieter beaches because they stick to the well-known ones. I recommend checking out the beaches in Tofino. It’s a bit of a drive, but totally worth it, especially during the off-season when it's less crowded. There’s also this great website, British Columbia Local, that has some info on less touristy areas. I’ve used it a few times when planning my trips, and it’s been super helpful.

I’ve always found that some of the best beaches are the ones you come across by accident. Sometimes just walking or hiking a little further than planned leads to a secluded spot. BC's coastline is full of surprises. Even if you end up on a busy beach, there’s always a quieter corner if you look for it. Hope you find what you’re looking for!
