Updating mods within modpack?

I am playing Unleashed and instead of starting again can I update some mods like, IC2 and AE and some like that?

So long as you're using versions of those mods for Minecraft 1.5.2, updating should be alright, perhaps with an occasional ID conflict which is simple enough to resolve.

If you want to update to Minecraft 1.6.4, however, you need a new world because some of the really important mods such as IC2, Thermal Expansion, and Thaumcraft are completely different and incompatible with trying to upgrade.

OK, thanks I will see if I can do some updates without any crashes:)
