Not quite sure what would be the best ting about FTB... probably Unleashed, I really like that pack. It has a bunch of mods of all kinds, but not too many (Monster is just too much IMO). Tech World 2 is also a nice one, though it's missing a few nice ones (e. g. EnderStorage, Logistics Pipes).
Worst thing is probably that Curse will be taking over FTB. They keep saying that you'll never have to pay for anything and that there won't be any ads, but honestly you can't trust them like that. They'll probably find a way to make something paid that you don't absolutely need, but would be extremely useful. Who knows, maybe they'll throttle your bandwidth, maybe they'll force you to watch ads every time you launch Minecraft...

The best thing about FTB is the support and community provided. Everybody learns together and shares their work. That is truely an amazing thing.
The worst thing is probably having to restart every so often. All the projects I want to do never get finished fully. ~Rawrz

Oh yea! OH NO! Curse! i forgot! im willing to dish out SOME money, but is there a way to keep my monster in a pack so i wont lose it? ATL? a custom launcher? or just forgeML?
