While playing this morning I had the unfortunate instance of being attacked by a zombie, to which I then turned into one!    I've tried Googling this, and can't find a solution.  Does anyone know which mod this is, and/or a cure for my affliction?  Thanks in advance!

It sounds like Morph, but I don't know for sure. Try pressing the square brackets keys ] or [ to see if a menu opens allowing you to choose a different form.

It's the Galacticraft...and I didn't add any additional mods to it.  It stunk because I couldn't go out during the day (took flame damage).  It's weird though...after playing for another 10 minutes, the game crashed, and when I logged back in, the entire world was gone.

Thanks Timrem!  After I get home from work, I'll have to try that out. I didn't know if the game had glitched by turning me into a zombie, and that was why it had then crashed & disappeared.

hmmm. none of those I recognize as able to let zombies infect you. You said there was a crash? could you please post that log here so we can help you better.  ~Rawrz

I just downloaded the pack to look into this: the list of mods you gave is incomplete. The recommended build of Lapito's Galacticraft Pack does include Morph, and auto-morphing is on by default. Whenever you kill something new, you will morph into it. Use the square brackets as I mentioned to choose a morph manually.

Oh, well if it's morph then the ~ key can be used to easily morph back into yourself ~Rawrz

Haha...yeah. I walked outside & burst into flame.  

I logged back into this mod today, created a new world, and I spawned into my old world.  It's odd, but I am happy to have all of my crafted stuff back. I have to say that I can see the uses of that mod (being able to work safely at night), but I've disabled it for now.   Thanks for all of the help!

Actually, being a zombie won't protect you from other mobs at night (unless something has changed recently), but certain mobs do have advantages.  Zombie Pigmen, for example, have fire immunity.  Blazes and Bats can fly.  Endermen have line-of-sight teleportation.  That sort of thing.

That depends on your Morph config settings. Last I checked, the recommended config is actually "Hostile mobs won't target you in a hostile morph, except the mob you're morphed as" (but the default depends on the pack, and is usually "hostile mobs attack you as normal"). Using the recommended setting, Zombie Pigman is one of the best morphs since only pigmen will attack you, but they only attack if aggro'd. Plus you get immunity to fire/lava.
