Hello everyone.

 

I started an underground base using gateways. So for charging mana batteries underground, i decided to do the following setup:

 

It's a dark nexus on cursed earth to spawn mobs, mantained in the dark using gaseous tenebrae from thaumcraft. to prevent mobs from escaping i'm using warded blocks. Problem is, if i get near it, creepers still explode, destroyinf the entire setup.

 

I wanted to enclose it with clear glass but then it becomes difficult to add new batteries... And i like seeing the mobs helplessly dying in front of me:)

Is there something i can do to avoid creepers exploding besides staying away?

The feline amulet from Thaumic Tinkerer KAMI prevents creepers from exploding as long as it's in your inventory. You could also try using the Wand Focus: Warding on various things, but I don't know if that would prevent the nexus from working, and you can't use it on the mana batteries.

just place a cat next to the setup, or build the amulet, or both. creepers dont like cats.
