So my quarry needs more MJ and my combustion engines arent cutting it. How can i create large amounts of MJ? Regardless of expensiveness, im pretty far in.

I would focus on making RF, since RF can be transmitted via Tesseract and automatically converts to MJ as needed as long as you have an energy conduit connecting the power source to the machine requiring MJ. A popular method to make RF (or MJ, for that matter) is to use a railcraft boiler to create steam (either using liquid fuel, or charcoal) and pumping that steam straight into Steam Dynamos (or industrial steam engines, if you're going straight for MJ). Once you set up a boiler, you want it running all the time, so using dynamos to create RF is usually recommended: you keep producing power at your base, and can tesseract it wherever you need. I suppose you could also send the steam out to your remote location and set up dynamos/engines there...

Big Reactors is a great way to generate RF. I think you need a single diamond for the main reactor block, but the other blocks of the structure aren't very expensive. It's also expandable, easily automatable, and won't explode, no matter what you do. As a fuel it requires Yellorium, and you find the ore, Yellorite, fairly often. Once properly fueled just connect it to your quarry via conduits, as they are lossless.

Been using the dynamos, is there any better fuel than it eating up my regular coal? i have a lot of coal but it uses a lot of it. is there any better fuel? should i delve into steam?

so ive made a steam boiler, but i cant take the steam out fast enough. it is close to max and i broke it so it didnt. i would use liquiducts, but they dont exist anymore apparently. halp
