Hi,

I've been trying to add millenaire to first FTB YogCraft and then FTB Ultimate. As i understand it I have to change the block ID's as they conflict with other mods. I'm lost though, haven't got a clue. I've been looking all over the internet, but i must be looking in the wrong places.

Thanks,

Kenny

In the Millenaire folder there is a config.txt file, you can change settings like item IDs in there.

Adding it to Ultimate, provided that you haven't added other mods that take up block ids:

1) Naviagate to the millenaire folder and find config.txt.

2) Open it in Wordpad (not notepad, which will make it obnoxious to read)

3) Scroll down and find the line that says "//IDs of the Millénaire blocks". Change that and the following respective lines to this:

//IDs of the Millénaire blocks
//New ids for 3.0
block_building_id=2275
block_panel_id=2276
block_wood_id=2277
block_earth_id=2278
block_stone_id=2279
block_crops_id=2280
block_panes_id=2281
block_byzantine_brick_id=2282
block_byzantine_slab_id=2283
block_byzantine_mixedbrick_id=2284

//ID of the first Millénaire item (the others are in sequence after it)
//New ids for 3.0
item_range_start=2285

Ignore the apparent "second set" of ID assignments. You will note those lines begin with "//", which means they are commented out and are not doing anything.

4) Save config.txt

5) Add Millenaire as usual through the "edit mod pack" button in the FTB launcher.

...of course many other ID ranges would work, but if you're totally unfamiliar, this will do. Basically you only have to do this because the default ID range (I believe 1515 and on...) conflicts with some of the block IDs taken up by Twilight Forest.

I'm glad. I was practically crying tears of frustration trying to figure it out for myself, so I'm pleased you had a better experience. I think the more mod-savvy people kind of forget that the first time editing block IDs for an average user is kind of like DIY surgery.

To get the numbers, if you're curious, I went into NEI's options (bottom left in the inventory screen), then Block/Item ID Settings > Dump ID Map Now. That creates a .txt file in the minecraft subfolder of the modpack's folder, which details every Block ID and what is assigned to it, if anything. If you create one now, you should notice this:

Block. Name: tile.ml_building. ID: 2275
Block. Name: tile.ml_panel. ID: 2276
Block. Name: tile.ml_wood_deco. ID: 2277
Block. Name: tile.ml_earth_deco. ID: 2278
Block. Name: tile.ml_stone_deco. ID: 2279
Block. Name: tile.ml_crops. ID: 2280
Block. Name: tile.ml_panes. ID: 2281
Block. Name: tile.byzantine_brick. ID: 2282
Block. Name: tile.byzantine_brick_slab. ID: 2283
Block. Name: tile.byzantine_mixedbrick. ID: 2284

...which you can blame on me, I guess. Any entries with "Block. Unused ID:" can be used in the config files of any new mods you might like to add, although I've had the most success with the first few thousand IDs.

Just want to say thanks again with getting me started on block ID's. Gave me the knowledge to change part of my tekkit map into a ftb map. This id dump will be useful to create a full conversion

Hi, I just installed the Millenaire Mod as you said above with Ultimate pack.  The game starts perfectly, I created a new world and found the first village of Millenaire.  But when trying to sell/exchange with the villager the game crashes. Exactly when it is going to open the GUI for exchanging.  Any explanation?

After one day of playing I observed this bug only with one civilization, the others work all right.

Fellinoel has told me that he removes Myscraft when playing with Millenaire.  Any other sugestion to play well with this mod?

I'm trying to add Millenaire to FTB Unleashed, but it keeps coming up with error screens upon launch. Can someone take me through the process of making it compatible, or just giving me a millenaire folder ready to put in Unleashed. Thanks in advance.

There are Block ID issues with Buildcraft, did you remove those?

That won't work, the IDs that conflict are bugged to be hard coded, check the Bug Reports page for Millenaire and see it listed there.
You will have to change BuildCraft's IDs
