I am unable to use the same username and password used for registering my forums account to edit the wiki.

 

If I go to the Wiki and attempt to register, I am taken to the forums registration page and given an error saying the account exists.

 

Any suggestions on how I can help contribute to the wiki while logged in?

I was also just unable to log in to the wiki, but trying a second time it worked. Probably a small server hiccup or unannounced maintenance.

This is intentional, you don't need a separate account for the wiki. It shares its user database with the forums, so you can log in with the same username and password as on the forums.

Trying to register separately was their workaround for proper authentication not working. Or so I interpreted it.

After logging out of the forums and back in (to ensure I knew my password), I realized that you guys trim whitespace for passwords upon forum login while you do not on wiki login.

 

Either way, it was my dumbness for having a space in my password.

Well I don't have spaces in my password, so I never noticed Pretty sure that's not intentional though.
