So I have a regular BiomesXL generated world and built a couple of ages with only Biomes O Plenty biomes, but I'm not getting any gems. I've done two 64x64 quarries in the proper biomes to get a Ruby (the BoP one). Just bad luck or do I have to start my world in BoP?

Mystcraft and Biomes O Plenty Gems

if the world was created without biomes o plenty then the chunks that were already loaded wouldn't contain the gems, you need to go into chunks that weren't already loaded then set up a quarry, i've got tonnes of the gems, i don't know what they are even used for...
