If someone can help me i want to make a server for me and my friend but figure out how i tried download server but nothing happened plz answer

You downloaded the server, but didn't run it, or forward any ports...or anything..?

No? You'll need to forward some ports, and chances are you'll have some lag

 

If you want a streamlined server, with plugins etc, there are tons of server hosters out there, check them out, if it's just you and a friend it shouldn't be more than 10 dollars.

is there any tuturials out there plus i can make my own server for me and my friend with out plugins or anything like that but if there are no plugins its free or does it always cost money to make a server

If you run the server on a computer of your own, it is of course free. There are a number of professional hosts where you can rent servers, but if you only want to play with your friend it's really not worth the money. If you run it yourself, you'll need to do the configuration once, but after that's done you can just run the server when you need to.
