Hi everyone ... im new here and this is my first post

Recently after playing Crash Landing and Agrarian Skies i decided to add a few mods i liked to the FTB lite modpack. I had some issues trying to add Chisel but have gotten that to work. Things were fine until i put my ore dust blocks from Ex Nihilo into my high oven and waited .. and waited ... I.m guessing that the dust isnt recognised as an "ore"  ... something to do with ore dictionary maybe ..... how can i add these so there compatible ?

Please help

For starters, a screenshot of the GUI would help.

The Ore Dictionary is only used to make the same types of items from different modpacks work with each other. It shouldn't affect ore dust.

1.6 modpack? Download Java 7 here. 1.7.10+? Download Java 8 here.

It is a lot more efficient to use iron blocks, I don't think ore dust is even pure enough to work with the high oven much like how coal isn't pure enough...

How do you figure? Using the High Oven to process your Iron Ore provides 3 ingots' worth per ore; there's no easier way to triple your ore.

Chris: have you remembered to apply a redstone signal to the High Oven controller to make it heat up? Did you make it large enough so it will reach sufficient heat to melt iron?

In Agrarian Skies you don't have iron ores?

The dusts are supposed to be entirely equivalent to the related ores.

and so is charcoal and coal, but the high oven only accepts charcoal for purity reasons.

Charcoal and Coal are only equivalent in Vanilla. Railcraft and various other mods already distinguish the two. The dusts, on the other hand, are by design supposed to have all the uses of standard ores.

But are you sure they are supposed to in Agrarian Skies?
