ok so im new to this feed the beast stuff and recently downloaded the monster pack, just the pack nothing else, tried to open it up throught the server start thingy and then the another logical looking file, didnt open, made a post, wited, got told to open a new one. youre reading the new one and i ask you, what am i doing wrong?

You should be able to run it the same way you downloaded the pack: through the FTB launcher. Select the pack, click Launch, and it ought to open. Note that, for most 1.6 packs, the first-time launch can take a few minutes to finish. You should never have to run the pack's files manually. If it doesn't work when you do this, please post the contents of "/Monster/minecraft/output-client.log" (from your FTB install folder) here, so we can get some information about what's going on. If you don't have such a file, look instead for "FTBLauncherLog.txt".
