You could use an ME Interface, if you want to smelt ores only on demand. A simpler method would be the use an ME Export Bus to output all ores into the furnace. Then an ME Import Bus could take the finished products back into the system.

If you want *all* your ores to get processed right away, point an export bus into the furnace and an import bus back out. The import bus automatically puts all items in the ME system, and the export bus will constantly attempt to keep the furnace full of ores. For on-demand smelting you can use a ME Interface with a custom (non-Crafting Table) pattern.

Do i place the Buses on their respective sides? Like, the import on the right side of the furnace and the export on the top?

If you're using TE or EnderIO machines, you can configure whatever sides(except the front) you want as import end export. If it's IC2 machine, you need an Ejector Upgrade to configure the output.

EDIT: Works now. Had to add capacity cards.
