Is there currently, at 1.7.10 a way to distribute a type of item to multiple recievers? I'm trying to set up an automated farm, with a Harvester and Planter - but for the love of it, I cannot see how to use these filters and whatnot to send only 2 out of every 3 potatos to my storage chest, and the rest to the Planter.

You could put Retreivers on the Planter and chest to pull the items, or use the round-robin or furthest/nearest first functionality. You could also use vacuum/dense ducts to direct item flow.
It seems easiest to just backfill the Planter, and let the rest of the items go to the chest.

That's not really an option... none of that would split the flow of potatos or carrots 2 to 1
This is really annoying

Hmmmmm...
What if you set up two chests, and round robined the items into them, and then into the planter. Then, just take the items out of the chests and insert into your storage. That way ~2/3 would go into storage, and the rest into the planter.

Seems my only solution is to use good ol' expensive diamond pipes - unless I want to go into excessive numbers of chests...
