The map is a single grass block about twenty blocks away from spawn and spawn is a single chest full of saplings and sticks surrounded on all sides by two squares of water source blocks.
Modpack is direwolf20 MC v1.7 and the challenge is to get an egg.

ALso, oops. This won't work on that modpack, I could have SWORN that this was fine in the 1.7 MC version of dw's modpack... what modpack was I thinking of...?

What could you possibly make with sticks to span that distance? 
Also, oops. This won't work on that modpack, I could have SWORN that this was fine in the 1.7 MC version of dw's modpack... what modpack was I thinking of...?
That reminds me of the FTB Retro.

FTB Retro? I never played that but to make the map easier I was going to MCEdit a TON of chickens falling down on the grass block..What could you possibly make with sticks to span that distance?
