Hey guys. I've only been playing minecraft for a month or so, starting with the PS4 version. I fell in love with the game, and built some really fun stuff and all that, but ultimately ended up switching to PC so I can run mods and modpacks.
It was a nightmare to get going, but I finally did. I started a new game, got a great seed (posted it in the seed section if anyone is interested) and I've gotten started.
But holy hell, there is SO much to do. I've read through the wikis as much as I can, I actually have a lot of downtime at work, so that works out for me, but it's really hard to make heads or tails of a lot of it, especially in wiki form.
I'm looking for some ideas on where to get started. If it helps, I really like automating things. I don't know why, because it sounds like it should be taking away from the game, but I get a kick out of it, like man vs nature and I win as soon as my farm farms itself.
So, what are some things I can set up for automation that might help me down the line? Is there something that I can do that will auto farm and replant? Auto mine? Anything else I don't even know I'd want to automate?
Or, any advice at all? Something you find fun in this game that isn't so overwhelming and gets me started? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
