Well, it's finally happening, Modded Minecraft is in MC 1.9. Some mod authors have ported their experimental 1.8.9 mods over. Can't wait for a 1.9 modpack.

Given that most mods are still not on 1.8 yet, I'm guessing it'll be a while before all popular mods have moved over to 1.9. 1.9 could be the new 1.7 though.

Well, Blood Magic is all-in on 1.9, Psi has updated, and a handful of others are updating both their 1.8.9 and 1.9 versions. A few have been made specially for 1.9 as well, such as Quark.
