Hello everyone,

I'm quite new to the Applied Energistics 2 mod pack but I managed to craft an ME System with a crafting terminal.

I hooked up the energy acceptor up to a stirling Generator and the crafting terminal with fluix cable to the ME drive. In the drive I have several storage cells. All seems to work and I can put in items and get them back but when I try to craft with the crafting terminal it will not work.

It shows the recipe but it does not take the items for the storage cells. When I put the items in manually it will work and I can't craft with it but it doesn't do it on its own.

Can somebody please help me? Maybe I set it up wrong?

Thanks and greetings,

Sunny

Personally (this is me in a nutshell) I wouldn't set up ME systems, but that's just me who doesn't understand them at all. I prefer using millions of chests and then automating, since I understand 0% of ME auto crafting. :P

Dear Sunny,

As an FTB expert, I will tell you exactly what you did wrong and how to fix it.(AE2 is a little challenging, but still a great mod) You set it up wrong. First, you need a pattern terminal, some blank patterns, and some power from Thermal Expansion.(MJ power can be sometimes glitchy)Second, you need an ME Controller. Third, you need an ME crafting CPU, which is made from an ME 64K crafting storage and 8 me co-processor crafting units. It must be square in shape to work. Connect the crafting CPU to the network(It takes quite a bit of channels) and run the cables into an ME Controller. Then you'll need 4 ME interfaces and 4 Molecular assemblers. Put the blank patterns in the pattern terminal, then tell the pattern terminal what patterns you want to craft. Put the crafting recipe in the pattern terminal with a blank pattern, just like a crafting bench. Then tell it to encode the pattern. Put the encoded patterns in the ME interfaces connected to your molecular assemblers. If you did it right, the patterns to craft should show up under the crafting tab on the pattern terminal. Simply click craft, and it will craft the desired number of that item you want(provided you have the materials).

Are you talking about auto filling in the crafting grid for a recipe, or autocrafting items with the ME autocrafting system which simply requires that you request items to be crafted?
