It's really a very nice pack. But ...

Meteors...

Just why?

The village I was getting used to and helping out got virtually destroyed by a meteor.

"Oh that's simple just put a few meteor shields around"

 

Ok so if I've meteor shielded everything around my base, and everything around every village and every route to every village and resource spot I go to ... what's the point of the meteors? I can't be bothered to make and place meteor shields for every chunk that might get loaded as I explore and settle in parts of the world.

 

And if I don't ... the landscape I've not protected slowly changes in to a blast zone that I can barely travel over.

 

I've just disabled the meteor mod. Then it's a playable, enjoyable pack and thanks to whoever put it together for that much.

 

My tip to new players? Disable the meteor mod and enjoy.

 

I can see the appeal "wouldn't it be great if we had meteors?!" ... yeah ... nice idea ... sounds fun! But now try playing a game through to end game level with it. Uh yeah. Ok. Turn that off then.

The point is difficulty I imagine

But meteors have great resources in them!
