What is you favorite biome in FTB to set up in? I personally like Mountains, Jungle, Red Rock mountains, and glaciers.  These are the biomes I always look to set up my base in. What about you guys?

 

 

 

ps. This should probably move to A different area, but it does involve FTB maps and I don't know where else it should go.

My favorite is jungle.

I like nice open meadows. Where the grass is extra green, and there's an abundance of flat open land.

I don't really like Jungles, though I need one for my beekeeping endeavours!

I adore the autumn biome trees, but the biome itself is not so great. Too many trees.

It always seems the ocean biomes are a bit too extensive! They're nice, though.

I like plains, because they're plain and rather flat and good for building.

Redwood trees are quite nice. So are fir trees.

I do like mountains. They look magnificent with a building on top and you can drill good hidey holes in them!

Hell biomes are quite nice.

River biomes? Good. Annoying sometimes, but good to fight in! When I'm crossing a river, and a spider is on my tail, I dive down and attack it from below. Good tactic! Well, it's not that good a tactic in FTB anymore with all those nice gadgets.

I like red rock.

Mushroom biomes! Awzum.

Tundra? Sometimes boring. Quite flat, though.

Taiga? I do like wolves! The trees are quite variable, so that's good. Might be boring though. It seems that many people have a grudge against Taiga biomes. It's because one often spawns in these biomes, and they get quite boring. Fortunately in FTB ExtraBiomesXL comes to save the day!

End biomes are quite cool. No monsters but Endermeisters! Classy.

Swamp biomes have lilypads, so I like them. They also have lots more rubber trees than other biomes! They're good to spawn in.

Deserts are nice, but as long as they're not huge. They're flat and don't have many obstacles. Just cacti.

Forest biomes are alright. 'Nuff said.

I generally set up shop (so to speak) in biome with intense and huge mountains.

Though not long ago I spawned in a desert and there was 1 tree with in a 2000 block radius, it was crazy I lived it out in the desert, starting with this one tree, that was a fun world.

ZL, you missed the swamp and mini jungle and possibly desert. I love the green grass of jungles. Sometimes I just burn them down for the grass and cats.

I personally like biomes with large mountains. You can just dig into the side of it, make a balcony on the edge of the biome, and you have a great view. You don't have to worry how the outside looks, since the outside of your base is the mountain itself. Really easy to expand too, just dig more room. I love it!

I love wastelands, sure they look ugly, but putting cracked sand in an industrial centrifuge yields a lot of saltpeter to make gunpowder from, and the implosion compressor needs a lot of TNT.

 

Taiga and Tundra is probably the ones I dislike the most aswell, mostly because there is nothing in them of value, cept for ores of course, but that you find in all biomes.

I like the redrock mountain and the temperate rainforest biomes. 

 

The ones I dislike most are plains and barlay fields.

Huh, I'm going to say anywhere with dye trees... those things add so much, and all of the different logs, all at the same time! 

 

But probably my least favorite is jungle. Why you guys hate, taiga,  I don't understand. But I'm probably going to set up shop in a mountainside somewhere... I'd say that a good sunny, grassy, maybe flat to sheer, mostly treeless, biome is good... Then have the other side for tree farms!

near a desert so when i need oil im not traversing. not a hilly mountaionous area, but flat, mostly plains
