Latest Direwolf20 mps 1.5 consistent performance issue on Mac? Direwolf20 multiplayer server seems to consistently have "fast forward mobs" and reappearing blocks after you smash them. Happens on all 3 of my macs including one with 16 GB ram and 3 gb dedicated to direwolf ftb on the server start script. Anyone else having this issue? Searching the Internet reveals few suggestions in current FTB releases except articles tweaking the server memory which I have done and seen no solution. Oh yeah, it a 3 user server ONLY! Not seeing this at all on 1.4.7 on same physical server. Any ideas? Oh and I do not see this on single player on either machine only when playing one my server on a local LAN

That sounds like an issue with synchronisation between the clients and the server, commonly referred to as lag, usually in all caps with three or more 'g's and numerous exclamation marks.

It could be caused by many things, including a slow server, dodgy lan/internet (depending on where the server is), game bugs/memory leaks, or even just loads of blocks being left on the ground.

Given you didn't have any issues with an earlier version, it's probably a game/mod bug. What's in the server log?

Not having much luck sending the logs. Will try again this week. I have been experimenting on a few other computers...

Need to clarify connectivity/config. All computers are on a Cisco 2960 ($450) 8 port gig switch on CAT6. Latency, I can assure you is not the issue. All macs are are clients with one as server & client too. All clients have tonnes of headroom in CPU and Mel outside of Java even with 3 people on the sever.


Some troubleshooting to prove your theorylamtk421.

Same world, same direwolf build....

single player- perfect performance... Outstanding actually with or without soartex textures
Single player LAN game 1 person and 3 people... Again perfect performance.

New world, on ftb direwolf server... Back to crappy mobs kickin my teeth in fast forward and blocks I have broken coming back and dissapearing.

Same new world on Mac parallels running 64 bit/java windows 7 (of course on top of Mac OS) 50 to 75 percent better than running on just Mac but not perfect.

Same new world on Parallels Win 7with 32 bit java no change from one above (better than Mac but not perfect)

New world on fresh FTB ultimate 5.2 back on Mac.... Same exact performance problem as original issue!

This is a really bizzare problem. I will dig up the server logs for ya... Hopefully you can pinpoint the mod that is being bad.... Thanks in advance.
