Config Files?

config file ftb unleashed help find change

Best Answer timrem , 24 September 2013 - 02:36 AM

I have my modpacks all install to C:\FTB, so my Unleashed config files reside at C:\FTB\Unleashed\minecraft\config. You can check where your FTB files go using the Options tab in the launcher (this should be different from the vanilla Minecraft folder).

As for using commands: I assume you mean single player. Do you get the message "You do not have permission to use this command." when you try to use commands? If so, you forgot to allow cheats from the "More World Options..." menu when you created the world. If you're getting some other message, or no message, giving more detail here will help us figure out the problem.

Hope this helps.

Hello. I'm new to FTB and I want to find and change some on the config files for the Unleashed modpack. When I looked at the .minecraft file though, it was filled with so many new files and folders that I couldn't find the config file. Where is it? Also, I can't use commands in my worlds. I think it has something to do with an internal server, but I don't know how to fix it.

1.6 modpack? Download Java 7 here. 1.7.10+? Download Java 8 here.

Ok. Found the config file, but I don't know how to open the files for the mods. NotePad, 7-zip or what? Also, I did enable cheats AND creative mode for my single player worlds, but I still got the "You don't have perrmission to use this command" notice.

Any text editor will do, the .cfg files are all plain-text (I use Notepad++, but regular Notepad should be fine).

Odd. Is this with a specific command, or any? If we can't resolve this, at least NEI gives an alternate way to perform many 'cheat' functions such as toggling weather and changing game mode (at least, I believe NEI doesn't rely on the vanilla commands to perform these actions). Have you tried the workaround of opening your world to LAN with cheats enabled, and seeing if commands work then?
