[Usma]

hello i'm an old school MC player, don't play any more because i don't find that spark/excitement  in the game that used to hold me in front PC for days/weeks

 

just recently i checked FTB launcher and i'm pretty interested about this mod pack but it was not loading.....

like when i run the game i just ended in vanilla MC

and when i tried to downgrade the mod pack i start to get this error, now even if i try to go for recommended pack i still get error

Starting up as vanilla, as well as the error you posted, are symptoms of a failed download. Make sure you don't have a firewall blocking the FTB launcher from downloading content from the Internet, make sure the FTB launcher isn't trying to write to a protected directory (easiest fix for that would be the run the launcher as an administrator), and make sure your Internet connection is stable when trying to download the pack. Then, use the Force Update button in the FTB launcher to acquire any files it may have missed before.

I disabled firewall, run launcher as an administrator but no change.

I used to play mindcrack and ultimate for long time and never had problem with downloads

This is happening to me as well.  I have removed all MC data (including in appdata roaming) and all mods.  Uninstalled Java, rebooted, reinstalled JRE 7 v45, downloaded the client.  Same error "There was a fatal error starting up minecraft and FML.
