So... I moved to the Twilight Forest. I'm very much a cat person, so I took two kitties with me and started breeding them to re-create my overworld kittycat army.

 

Only... the two I brought from the overworld are fine, but any babies I breed out of them just disappear unless I growth-vaccine them to adults. Does the Twilight Forest not like kittens? I can't for the life of me find anything that'd be hurting them (no hostile mobs and no dangerous plants nearby) and the area's covered by a chunk loader. They were told to sit, too, so they couldn't really have followed me...

I'm not quite sure, but do kittens stand up or get untamed when growing adult for some reason? Might just be a vanilla bug. If you have the time, you could just sit and watch your kitten grow

Woah many versions ago I had a similar problem, it was never fixed but I did find one of them mysteriously sitting below where I left them all... sitting... in an unexplored cave...

Not sure, I poked one of the kittens with a growth syringe to make sure it didn't disappear but can't remember if it stood up or not... next time I'm on I'll stand and stare at a kitty for a while

Weird. I wonder if there's a cave under where I've set up shop... do you know offhand if caves will generate below the Questing Groves?

I think they generate everywhere, but cats shouldn't do that anyways.

I used a portable hole, there's no cave below this area that I can find (though i did murder two of my cats on accident by having them fall down the hole I made...)

 

In the meantime I used an auto-spawner to barf out kitties.
