Annnd the price for the 5000th wiki article goes to... the Infusion altar! Which had a lowercase a in its name, so it was moved to Infusion Altar and we're back at 4999.

 

Annnd now I created the Metal Former, which is now the 5000th article #2 B)

There are probably a few pages from http://ftbwiki.org/Special:ShortPages that should be deleted, and we could then have yet another page be #5000 :P

 

Also: where does RecentChanges get its article count from? http://ftbwiki.org/Special:Statistics shows only 4,923 pages...

Special:Statistics is subject to the caching system, the number displayed in the page headers seems to be uncached.

Or you can log in on the nocache site and view the uncached version of the page.

Or you don't, because that doesn't appear to help. >.<

 

PS: Just checked, the number shown in the header probably includes redirects.

I was told Tutorial namespace isn't counted.

I was told Tutorial namespace isn't counted.

It isn't counted in MediaWiki's counts, as it is separate from the main namespace. It might be counted in the header number.

 

PS:

It seems to be. We have 77 tutorial pages, and 5000 - 77 is 4923, which is the Special:Statistics number. Mystery solved.

Hmmm... the BIG NUMBER ABOVE EVERY PAGE says 5000, so we might just go for it. Or wait a little. Maybe even clean up some of the blank tutorial pages.

There's an edit button on each forum message. 

 

And I meant Carbon Skin on the wiki of course, common sense says this forum cannot have 5000 articles
