We've so far been using two different formats for modpack mod lists: a hierarchical bullet-point list (e. g. Unleashed) or a wikitable (e. g. Horizons). It would of course be nicer if we used one of the two consistently, but which one? The bullet list is more compact and can be used to show mod dependencies, whereas the table format can show more information in a structured way and could also be made collapsible to save screen space.

Soo... which one should we use?

Collapsible wikitables seems the most clean option and more information is always good. Dependencies shouldn't really be an issue as FTB advises against removing mods from packs.

I prefer the wikitable. Not only can it show more information, but I find it easier to maintain since mods are listed alphabetically: if Thermal Expansion is updated in the latest version of a pack, I don't have to remember to find it listed under COFH-Core, I go straight to Thermal Expansion. It's also easy to verify the information is updated by scrolling the page and FTB changelog side-by-side, since the official changelogs use alphabetized tables to list mod versions.

I love the wikitables. More info is better, imho.

Adding new modpacks and struggling with the wikitable made me wonder if there's a way to make it easier.

There is:

http://excel2wiki.net/

Shame I haven't found that website earlier :<

Wikitable looks better. The straight bullet point design is a bit busy, also the fact that we can easily display the version of the mod being used helps quite a bit.
