Random Crash when Start

Best Answer timrem , 10 August 2014 - 06:11 AM

It looks like your problem might be with Forge itself. Are you using the Vanilla launcher? Did you try running your instance before you added any mods?

Try making a new instance with Forge for 1.7.10. If I recall correctly, if you've run the Forge installer, you should just have to select the proper version when creating the new instance. Run it without any mods: if that works, add mods until it breaks. If it doesn't run, you might have to re-download Forge since you might have an incomplete download, or something.

Otherwise, you could install FTB Unstable, strip out all the mods included in the pack, and add the mods you want.

Good luck!

Hi there, I am not currently using a FTB modpack but came here as the only solution to help me.

Version: 1.7.10

These mods I have installed:

  • Backpacks Mod
  • BiblioCraft
  • TreeCapitator
  • Not Enough Items
  • ChickenChunks
  • Code Chicken Core
  • Iron Chests
  • Inventory Tweaks
  • Ender Storage
  • CoroUtilites
  • iChunUtilities
  • Mob Amputation
  • Tinker's Construct
  • Localized Weather and Storm Fronts (created by coro)
  • Just Another Barrel Attempt Mod
  • Extra Utilities
  • Voxel Map (no radar)
  • Mantle

Pretty nifty selection, huh? Anyways, here's my crash log.

Had to use pastebin apparently because I am too incapable (cool) to create spoilers  B)

Will reinstalling forge screw up my mods? I have made a world backup. And yes, I use the vanilla launcher.

I had been playing with all my nifty mods just fine until I called it a night, but went back on a bit later to see that. I was looking at this thing called "splashes.txt" in the forge version.jar, but hadn't done any major changes, as far as I know. Before I reinstall forge, I want to know that not much bad will happen.

Actually, no need to reply. Updating Forge and re-downloading it fixed it.

Thank you for your help.
