Hello everyone. I recently switched from Unleashed to Monster to add some difficulty and to attempt to not hit endgame as quickly. Duplicating Iridium with UU-matter was easy in Unleashed, but Monster is a new ballgame.

My question is where do I legitimately get that initial piece of Iridium so that I can begin duplicating it?

Every tutorial I watch assumes that the player already has some Iridium to duplicate. I don't have a single piece.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have been asking myself the same question all day long and apparently there is no way to  "legitimately" get the first piece of iridium.

i am playing FBT tech world 2 and have the same problem as in monster

sorry and good luck

Thanks for the reply Chokoso. This doesn't make any sense to me, because some of the endgame content I'm looking at, namely the Iridium rotor for my windmill, requires a good bit of Iridium.

I watched a 34 minute long video on YouTube on how to duplicate Iridium, only to discover that the creator of the video never states where he got that first piece.

If it helps, I have read that Iridium can be obtained in dungeon loot, as well as a small chance through the RotaryCraft mod. I don't use RotaryCraft (even though it looks awesome), and leaving things up to chance through dungeon loot just seems funny to me. It wouldn't make any sense for the endgame to be dependent upon another mod that some folks may or may not utilize.

I'll keep the thread updated with any information I'm able to find. Hopefully there's some obvious solution that we're overlooking, and someone will chime in and enlighten us.

As far as I know that is the intended way of getting iridium. Find one piece in a dungeon and reproduce that as often as you need. It's probably a good idea to keep a backup iridium somewhere in your base, in case your pattern storage or crystal memory is destroyed for whatever reason.

Thank you for the response Dglessus. I'll have to do some dungeon hunting and see if I can find one piece to begin duplicating.

Alright, my quarry just returned a piece of Iridium. I must have built it over a dungeon area.

And I just found a second piece in a chest in another dungeon I was searching. Iridium is not as rare as I previously thought, but I would not count on finding enough of it in dungeon loot to make anything worthwhile.
