Skin refusing to load

Update:  So, after taking off my armor and such, it seems as though the graphical error is only shown to ME on MY screen!  It seems as though my girlfriend (whom is on a laptop a few feet away from me) sees me as the proper skin, it is only my client that is suffering from this odd glitch!

Weird... uninstall and reinstall the client?

So, recently (over the last couple weeks) something happened, and my skin got reset to the usual boring Steve skin.  Whatever, right?  So I spend about 3 days repeatedly attempting to change my skin back to what it was (in this case, a Renamon skin that I love very much!) and despite Minecraft saying that it's been uploaded successfully each time, it simply isn't loading up into the game!  I've been trying for a couple of weeks now, to upload different skins and get them to work in FTB Unleashed, all to no avail, despite working just fine in vanilla minecraft.

 

The most infuriating thing is, is that I open it up in single player, and open it to LAN so that my gf and I can play (because I can't for the life of me, to get the bloody server working without loads of errors), and yet HER skin never changed, and still works just -fine- to this day.  What's worse, is that both of our skins came from the same website, and we uploaded them both to minecraft the very same way!

 

I have decided that enough is enough, and I've finally exhausted all of the options I've been able to find, so here I am.

 

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Do you have the new Alex (slim arms) player model enabled? That is only supported as of Minecraft 1.8, on lower versions you'll appear to have no skin if you use the Alex model instead of the old Steve one.

Do you have the new Alex (slim arms) player model enabled? That is only supported as of Minecraft 1.8, on lower versions you'll appear to have no skin if you use the Alex model instead of the old Steve one.

My Renamon skin has always been based off of the "Steve" model, and I've never really wanted to bother with the new "Alex" thing, so...  No, I don't think I've done anything to alter that.  Is there some sort of option in-game or in any of the FTB menus where I might've bumped something to change that, so that I may switch it back to trying to load up my "Steve" stuff?

So... on your computer you can see her skin, but not yours, or can't you see any skin? Does this also happen in vanilla Minecraft on 1.8? If so, it would be best to ask Mojang support about that, because then the problem isn't caused by FTB.

Skins have always been a bit buggy with Minecraft -- they will inevitably not work sometime in anybody's Minecraft lifespan.
