Previously in FTB Monster I used mystcraft books and portals mostly when I needed to transport myself between different bases and dimensions.
What are alrternatives for ftb infinity? Anyone has any idea?

Try the teleporters from RFTools. You can find info on them here under Teleportation System.
Thanks, they don't seem to be worth the trouble, I'll just keep using mystcraft. I was looking for something interesting and more efficient... Its certainly interesting that it consumes energy, but then mystcraft doesn't, besides it seems more logical to set up a hub world anyway for transporting myself to all the essential locations. 2 sets of gates don't really make sense even if its intra-dimensional travel, because then to transport myself between multiple worlds and locations I would either have to go through multiple sets of gates or set up a hub world anyway.
So yeah I will be sticking to mystcraft for transportation.
