server problem

I have got a privat server but I can't join it. It says "Incompatible FML modded server..." but I have got the same version of the pack which is on the server. I also have checked some other versions but it didn't work. A friend tried to join the server and he could.

I have got the same version of the pack which is on the server

Isn't there a different version for playing than the one used for the server?

 

A client version and a server version?
