So I recently started playing the new "Hubris" mod pack, and I am getting this thing where my hearts are glowing yelllow with runes on them, and i randomly get hit with something (similar appearance to the "splash potion" particle effect) And I can't figure out what is causing it, could someone help me?

It sounds like Runic Armour from Thaumcraft. Do you have any equipment or baubles on that provide runic protection?

well, the hits are probably from the tainted stuff that's everywhere, standing near tainted plants or on the fibrous taint will hit you randomly and i believe it will also give a debuff. maybe the debuff is also causing your hearts to become yellow?
