While playing the TPPI modpack, I crafted a wrath igniter from Factorization thinking it was just an enhanced flint and steel or something. I tested it about 50 blocks from where my base was set up, and when I saw the wrath fire rapidly spreading I paused the game and look up what it did, then I closed minecraft hoping that it would despawn the fire. When I loaded the world again, the world was the same as before except the area where I had built my base (which was probably 500x500 blocks wide) was completely reverted to before I built anything there, as if it was just a freshly loaded minecraft seed. I made this world in 2015, and spent quite a lot of time on it back then and recently too. Does anyone know how this might've happened, or if there's there any way to revert worlds back to previous versions or something similar?

That's very strange. I see TPPI had the mod ServerTools, did you ever create a backup of your world, either using that mod or manually? Otherwise I have no idea how to save your world.

Thanks for the reply.

Now that you mention it, I did make a copy of most of my FTB things before updating the launcher last week for the first time in years. If it indeed has a save file, the world'll be set back quite a bit, but at least the world is saved.

Thanks! I'll be able to check it in a little while. (In regards to ServerTools, does that mod ever create backups automatically?)

I don't think so from what I read, just manual backups by typing /backup.

I hope you get your world back, it is pretty discouraging to loose progress like that.
