Hi.

A user on my server created a Tier V Skeleton Spawner and put it by a chunk loader. Everyone logged off, and overnight it seems like such a ridiculous amount of mobs were spawned. The server loads and goes straight to 100% memory usage (I can only have 1024MB). No users can connect, they either get End of Stream or other random java errors.

I've tried disabling hostile mobs, and restarting the server, but to no avail.

Spoiler

Any ideas?

Yep, that's an out of memory error. I'd say find the coordinates of this spawner and delete all the entities within the chunk(s) that the spawner is located in by editing the world files with a program such as NBTExplorer. If that fails, you could try deleting the chunk(s) entirely, and if all else fails, you could delete the .mca file in question, although that would clear out quite a swath of land and I'd recommend that only as a very, very, very last resort.

My username is digitallyApocalyptic. I contribute where I can on the wiki and I've previously built pretty much the entirety of Category:Twilight Forest. I play FTB Ultimate, some games on Steam, and I follow MS Paint Adventures.

Did you disable hostile mob *spawning*, or did you set the server to peaceful mode (difficulty=0)? The second would be more likely to help.
