What is the Ruins mod?

Is that something like Millenaire except without the living people and buildings but just with the ruins?

It generates structurs in to your world.

You can also add your own MCEdit schematics.

So then yes it is just Millenaire without people living in them...

Instead of installing a new mod why not just go play FTB New World since Millenaire comes with that. Be sure to change the config file before you start the world though to make structures spawn more frequently though, I always do and it just seems better with more imo lol

Or, y'know, just manually add it in.

How is that at all relevant to manually adding a mod?

What? Is that what he meant? I thought he meant manually adding structures...?

This topic is about adding the Ruins mod to FTB, so I assume dgelessus's suggestion was for MindcraftHD to manually add the mod to whichever pack s/he plays, rather than play New World as you suggested.

Yes, my "it" was referring to the mod, not the structures.

I was suggesting a different mod that adds ruins and various other structures and I assumed that dg was responding to that.

Maybe in RPG Immersion or New World, but it wouldn't fit in any other pack.  And besides, those modpacks aren't maintained by the FTB team.

I'm looking for a mod like Ruins, that procedurally generated buildings and parks over the entire map for player to explore and survive. Like an "I am legend" style. Only a couple of blocks above of bedrock for decorations and maximum height on some of the tallest structures.
