I'm trying to breed trees. I've waited at least 48 hours of gameplay and still haven't found a single mutated leaf.... There are a few more hives behind me in this photo. Most of the hives contain cultivated bees. My system replaces the princesses and drones automatically. And I don't think the picture shows it but the apiaries do have direct view of the sky (I broke out some tree leaves at the very beginning). What am I doing wrong?

Which modpack are you using? In newer versions of Forestry, a certain type of headwear is needed to be able to see mutated leaves stand out from the rest.

Mhm, and this can either be the Spectacles or the Apiarist's Hat.

Heheh, that's fine.

 

It's weird; in the 1.5 packs, you could see some that were mutated without them, but some you needed them.
