I think the Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots should have "5, 8, 7, 5" Tutamen, respectively (or something similar).

Really?
That low? But it is better than diamond armor?

EDIT:

While we are at it, any thoughts on these?

Well do you know what diamond armor is? I can't find it anywhere and so I just guessed based on what diamond tools are.

I don't know exactly what Diamond Armor is, but I'd guess something that is related to how much protection they give.

Ugh, am trying the MCF thread but the users there aren't too... talkative... /:

So let's see, that leaves...

  • Amulette d'Yggdrasil
  • Amulette de Sköll et Rati
  • Amulette de l'Alchimiste
  • Amulette du Vishnu
  • Colombages Ă  croix
  • Colombages
  • Pomme Ă  cidre
  • Tapisserie normande

The Amulettes (amulets) will be heavy in the magic aspect. All amulets require a world trader to buy (except for the amulet of the alchemist, you need to complete the Norman storyline to get this) and world traders are a rarity.

Amulette d'Yggdrasil (Amulet of the World Tree) costs 32 silver and displays your height... this was added years ago lol.

Amulette de Sköll et Rati (Amulet of Sköll and Rati) costs one gold and changes the day to night and back again.

Amulette de l'Alchimiste (Amulet of the Alchemist) glows a yellow colour when ores are nearby and costs one gold.

Amulette du Vishnu (Amulet of Vishnu) costs 32 silver and glows redder when mobs get near.

Colombages Ă  croix and Colombages are just culture specific blocks, frames for housing.

Pomme Ă  cidre is a recently edible apple for cider.

Tapisserie normande is a painting that shows Norman art.

Suggestions:

  • Amulette d'Yggdrasil: 10 Praecantatio, 2 Instrumentum, 1 Alienis, 1 Machina (and if it's actually related to a 'Tree', why not Lignum?)
  • Amulette de Sköll et Rati: 10 Praecantatio, 2 Instrumentum, 1 Alienis, 1 Machina, 4 Imperito, 8 Tempus, 1 Carus (?)
  • Amulette de l'Alchimiste: 10 Praecantatio, 2 Instrumentum, 1 Alienis, 1 Machina, 2 Potentia, 3 Metallum, 1 Lux, 1 Carus
  • Amulette du Vishnu: 10 Praecantatio, 2 Instrumentum, 1 Alienis, 4 Machina, 2 Potentia, 1 Ignis, 2 Bestia (?)
  • Colombages (Ă  croix): 8 Pannus, 4 Saxum
  • Tapisserie Normande: 14 Pannus, 2 Lux

The Amulets (except the first) seem to have a lot of aspects; maybe you could simplify them or is that kind of what you want?

Why don't you try it out? If some Theories have 18 aspects, I don't see why there would be a limit on items.

Sounds like they do then.

How about the cider apple though? (LAST NORMAN ITEM!!!)

EDIT:
Not counting the armor of course, ok so someone told me what the armor gives!

  • Diamond Helm - Purus (16), Tutamen (4), Vitreus (48), and Carus (16)
  • Diamond Chest - Purus (26), Tutamen (9), Vitreus (77), and Carus (26)
  • Diamond Leggings - Purus (22), Tutamen(7), Vitreus (67), and Carus (22)
  • Diamond Boots - Purus (13), Tutamen (4), Vitreus (38), and Carus (13)
  • Iron Helm - Metallum (23) and Tutamen (3)
  • Iron Chest - Metallum (51) and Tutamen (7)
  • Iron Leggings - Metallum (45) and Tutamen (6)
  • Iron Boots - Metallum (26) and Tutamen (3)

Hmmm, so then my idea for these were indeed a tad too high

  • Norman Helmet: 1 Alienis, 8 Tutamen
  • Norman Chestplate: 2 Alienis, 10 Tutamen
  • Norman Leggings: 1 Alienis, 10 Tutamen
  • Norman Boots:1 Alienis, 10 Tutamen

I think the Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots should have "5, 8, 7, 5" Tutamen, respectively (or something similar).

5, 8, 7, 5 sounds plausible, though it doesn't follow the pattern... but if it did follow the pattern then it would be exactly the same as Diamond... I dunno I like 5, 8, 7, 5.

Is it better than diamond armor?

I will check, one sec.

EDIT:
No they both give 20 full armor points.

I dunno then. I think 5, 8, 7, 5 fits better.

EDIT:

Ok so the cider apple is only available by purchasing it for 1 copper piece and it only restores 1 out of 20 hunger points. Thoughts on the below assignment?

  • Pomme Ă  cidre: 1 Mesis, 1 Victus

EDIT:

Updated list, I made the limit five, since that is all the research table can hold.

Seems good! Also, I think you got the Vegetarian Curry and the Resgulla a bit mixed up.

The Millénaire Wiki seems to have quite a few spelling mistakes...

  • Chicken Curry: 4 Sano, 2 Ignis, 2 Corpus
  • Vegetarian Curry: 8 Sano, 3 Ignis, 4 Herba, 4 Messis
  • Resgulla: 2 Sano, MORE -- Can you please explain a bit on what this is?
  • Complete Parchment: 20 Cognitio, 6 Fabrico, 4 Instrumentum, 4 Bestia, 2 Corpus
  • Brick Mould: 2 Permutatio, 1 Solum
  • Wet Brick: 1 Aqua, 5 Solum
  • Mud Brick: 1 Aer, 5 Solum
  • Cooked Brick: 2 Ignis, 5 Solum
  • Hindi Statue: 8 Carus, 1 Purus, 8 Vitreus

Resgulla: 2 Sano, MORE -- Can you please explain a bit on what this is?

"This dessert made of fried cheese and sweet syrup is prepared by village women using sugar cane. Purchased by the player, it will restore one heart, and stacks to eight. Eaten by couples in the village, it increases the chances of conceiving a child."

I don't think the Bricks should have too many Aspects, because they're rather cheap, aren't they?

Could you please explain why you included Lux for Mud Bricks and Carus for Cooked Bricks?

Resgulla could have (2 Sano, 30 Messis, 1 Permutatio).

Hindi Statues are not that cheap, are they? I think Paintings might give you some Pannus and some Lignum.

Bricks cost durability of a mould as well as one dirt and one sand block.

I gave Mud Bricks Lux because it is an aspect of Day.

I gave Cooked Bricks Carus because smooth sandstone has it and it is fairly similar.

Sounds good for the sugary cheese balls.

Hindi Statues are tough to get as well as not too cheap but they are made only by the villagers and from wool. Some Tempus should also be given.

EDIT:

I have it from a reliable source that Millenaire foods are being dramatically reworked at the moment so let's drop those and focus on everything else for now.

EDIT:

I am on a short hiatus with this culture while I finish the Inuits culture and possibly a Natives culture that includes Pigmen and Testificates, possibly...

Someone recently expressed interest in this culture so I might as well flesh out some details for the Ars Magica villages. Ars Magica has Light Mages, Dark Mages and Dryads as sentient NPCs, due to this I can have a couple Light Mage village types, two-ish Dryad village types, and Dark Mage bandits, but sadly the bandits wouldn't cast spells... /: Wonder if there is a way I can give bandits weapons...

There will be swamp and jungle villages for the Dryads, they will be nature-y, maybe the houses will be inside trees for the jungles and maybe I will use the Vanilla witch hut design for the swamps.

Light Mage villages will be very Norman-like, perhaps having some wizard towers and add a special bow or snowball that deals elemental damage.

Dark Mage bandit homes will be evil-looking necromatic-like huts, maybe having some wither skulls, maybe surround the house in soul sand, etc like that.

If I can make that bow or snowball be wieldable by them, the culture-specific item will be that, maybe add some sort of magic wall item that is made from those invisible wall blocks.
