Vanilla World Converted To FTB?
Best Answer dgelessus , 06 February 2014 - 07:42 PM
You can simply copy your world from the default .minecraft saves folder to that of the pack you are running. It should start without any problems, however you will be missing all of the modded ores, biomes, etc. unless you explore new parts of the world. There is unfortunately not much you can do about that.

I have already done all this and it has worked, I mine in the Twilight Forest, but it is very hard to find copper there, I have been watching syndicate and he has done it somehow, not even going to bother asking as he will not answer:P

Some mods have config options to "regenerate" ores where they should've been if the mod was installed before, although I'm not sure which mods exactly do that. These options often also don't work correctly, for example if you have a house made of stone it would generate ores in your house walls
Oh, and if you have Mystcraft installed you can write a mining age, which will then have all the ores. Or try making a MineFactory Reloaded Laser Drill.
