Hello! I was just in twilight forest when i saw a strange little ruin in a forrest that was blinking like a rave. Inside the ruin was a big "goat" or something that just stood in one place and did nothing. Does anybody know what it was and if it was stupid to kill it?

That's the Quest Grove you found! It has a Quest Ram inside of it. The biome you were in was the Enchanted Forest. It's a pretty rare find actually. Had you fed the ram some wool you could have gotten some rewards. Check out the wiki pages I linked for more info.
So i shouldnt have killed it? Excuse me. F****************************************************************************************************************ck!!!!!!!!!

Wow that kinda sucks. Though at least you learned something from it. I'd just say follow a very simple rule. If you don't know what it is and it ain't attacking you, don't attack it.

Yeah, I did pretty much the same thing with the first Quest Ram that I found. I thought it was going to be some massive boss battle or something, so I decided to shoot it with arrows from afar, and I killed it in one hit with my bow. It dropped nothing and I found out later that it was a Quest Ram and I was really sad.
Tip: Use a Magic Map to find another Quest Grove. They map an absolutely HUGE area (2048 meters by 2048 meters) and denote Quest Groves, Naga Courtyards, and lots of other major landmarks as icons for easy location. Also very good for finding Hollow Hills, especially large ones. You may have to make more than one, but the ingredients for a Magic Map are not all that difficult to come by, especially if you're playing in the newest version of the Twilight Forest, where you don't even have to leave the Forest to acquire the necessary items.

If you give a quest ram each wool, it gives some really good loot.

Well, luckily, I'm fairly certain that they respawn. They will stop spawning and become immortal when you complete the quest, but I don't think that that applies if you haven't completed the quest yet.
