Apparently their a bug, it keeps crasing my minecraft

Instead of adding new terrain generation, you should implement an intricate way to craft the raw materials, the glowing iron could be made by smelting glowstone dust in a furnace that yields glowing ashes, and then you can infuse the glowing ashes into the iron block/ingot with another machine that you create.

 

Similar with the red version, smelt redstone into red ashes, and then infuse it with iron in the same machine.

Nice idea, but I've already made (quite a long time ago now) Melted Glowstone and Melted Redstone, and both can be crafted together with Iron to make their respective types of Iron.

I might make a machine in the future, but not now. I'm not even going to add my own type of energy, but I'm just going to use IC2 API. There's already IC2, BuildCraft and Factorization Energy! I don't think we need more.

 

 

Edit: There are enough votes for 'Yes' to new Ore generation, so I added one! Yay! That'll be in v0.1c.

With FTB(mindcrack)

i tried it 3 times

MindCrack is already quite unstable...

Just add it to vanilla and see.

 

 

Edit: Silly me. Seems I forgot to add the graphics file to both versions!

You could make a type of glass and glass panes that glow when placed, giving off light and allowing to be seen through.

Also, you could have an adjustable torch. You could change the amount of light it gives off, with the maximum of a regular torch and the minimum of a redstone torch. It could be changed to be anywhere in between.

Actually, glowing grass sounds like a good idea. Though have it a slightly lighter colour and make it rare to spawn (collectable too, of course.)

Maybe both. Though we seriously need something cool in the overworld as it seems Thaumcraft has been the only mod to make me go out of my house and explore a bit more after finding a nice spot for my home. Why? Because there's no reason to! I have a reason to constantly go outside in the twilight as it really fun to explore it. So why not do the same and add some life to the overworld?
