How does AE determine how much energy it uses per tick? its only drawing 15 now, but ive had it drawing it the hundreds.

Each component of your AE system adds a small, constant amount of power consumption. Additionally, any matter-energy conversion (importing, exporting) has additional energy requirements. Were you importing stacks of items or autocrafting things at the time you saw power consumption in the hundreds?
