1. Download the Ultimate/MindCrack/Beta A Pack or any other pack that has Advanced Solars. If you've already played on one of those once, skip this step, unless you have an older version and you want to update. When the Minecraft Menu is opened, Quit the Game.
 2. Open your FTB Launcher again, and click on the Direwolf Pack, click 'Edit Mod Pack' and on the bottom-right you should see an 'Add Mod' button. Click that!
 3. On the pop-up window, locate the modpack files for your Ultimate (or whatever you downloaded [I'll just be referring to it as Ultimate from now on]) pack. By default it should either be where your FTB Launcher is or up one folder. Go into Ultimate\minecraft\mods and click on advancedsolarpanel.zip (or whatever it's called in your pack). Press the 'Open' button, and you should see it appear in the list on the left on the Mod Pack Editor. Click on the 'X' button and launch Direwolf.
 4. When it's done loading, you should be able to find the mod and use it!

You're welcome in advance! :P

This means that you have an ID conflict. Open up AdvancedSolarPanel.cfg (in the config folder) in the text editor of your choice. Change the blockID parameter to an ID number which is not yet taken. You can do so by looking through NEI for unused ID numbers and changing it to that with the mod disabled temporarily while you do so. I think there's an option in NEI to show unused IDs in between used ones, which makes them appear as vines or something with the number written over top of them. Once you find an unused ID, just change the number to that and it should work fine.

I assume when you want Advanced Solars you don't like Compact Solars.
Yes, like digitally said, you have an ID conflict.

So, go to the FTB Launcher, Edit Mod Pack, and disable Compact Solars. Now it should work fine, and all your existing Compact Solars should transform into Advanced Solars. But if you like both, I'd suggest doing it digital's way.

Change the blockID parameter. First thing there below #block, says I:blockID=650. Just change the number there to something else that's not used yet. Also, when pasting large amounts of text into a post, please use spoiler tags, placing
just before the large quantity of text (e.g. error log) and then
(without the space before the bracket that I've added) after the large quantity of text.

Which ID did you try to use? You may have used an ID number that is too large, which is my guess as to what happened from a glance at the crash log. If you haven't already, you could try using 649 (an empty ID just below the ID for the Compact Solars blocks) for the ID number and see if that works.

Yeah, you used 4096, which was too large.
