I have recently started using computers,disk drives,floppy disks. I play on direwolf20 pack and would really like to know how to get a computer to read a labeled floppy disk thats in a disk drive next to the computer...Any help?

Though I can't help I'm also intrigued with this side of the mod pack I also using dw20 pack, keeping a close eye on this thread.

we have our computer disk drive and our floppy disk we have it labeled and we are trying to make our computer read the floppy disk to open the door to our movie theator but its not reading it...We need to program it but we dont know how and cant find a video on how to...Can anybody help??

Type "cd disk" in the computer then start the program you want in it.

Type 'dir' into the computer and you should see it showing whatever you named your disk to. Then type 'cd ', hit enter, and type 'dir' again. Then you should see all the programs on the disk. To go back a directory, type 'cd ..'. This program should be able to open and close the theatre door:

  rs.setOutput("<side with redstone>", true)

  sleep(5)

  rs.setOutput("<side with redstone>", false)

  disk.eject("<side that the disk drive is next to>")

  end

Duncan of the Yogscast recently had a very informative video on how to write programs when he was making a TNT cannon that could have the distance adjusted, I don't have the link but it wasn't that long ago.

Those are Redpower computers, not ComputerCraft ones.

I'm pretty sure Redpower computers don't use Lua. I saw a bit of the cannon video. The Redpower computers didn't look like they were using Lua at all.

Redpower computers use Forth not Lua. They're totally different.
