Why don't you use water blocks as ladders? You could traverse all levels if you just made sure there was a water trail to climb back up.

One suggestion: if you're making platforms, use (half-)slabs! They save half your material.

One of the first things you should do is punch alot of leaves and get a sapling. This will allow for infinite blocks to build, make tools, make ladders, etc.
Edit. Never mind, didn't see you have them.
Dungeon chests are also useful.

I've been recording several episodes, but I've been messing with my rendering settings for a bit. I'm going to upload episode 3 and 4 tomorrow.

Yes, I've figured that out nowCopper is found around level 40 to level 70-ish if I'm not mistaken. You were at level 17!

I've been experimenting a bit with my videos to improve the quality. This (EP18) is my first video that shows an episode title at the start. I've already improved upon it for the next episodes though. It's also the first episode with a custom thumbnail 
That'll need quite a bit of changing though.
