Hey guys, I decided to drop my quarries on the ocean which was apparently a terrible idea because when I get into range the server crashes. Is there any way to fix this? A world edit to still the water or something?

I dont think you can use world edit with FTB. Im not sure though. You could try to take them out by long range tnt cannons. That wouldnt work because the tnt wouldnt blow up in unloaded chunks.

There's a developer version of MCeddit that should be able to do what you need. It sill has bugs but It'll do what you need.
You can place quarrys above the ocean but not in it. I think.
The Dev. build is found here.

That link leads to a specific development build only. Go to the mcedit main page, to get the latest development build. There's actually a newer dev build out already. The development build link should be right under the link to the stable release...
I've tested version 1.7 build 396 with my FTB test world. I didn't notice any missing things after loading, cutting some dirt away and saving. As expected lots of stuff was displayed with placeholder blocks in MCEdit, but the info popups when hovering on these blocks seemed to have shown all the necessary data, that is actually associated with these blocks. Unfortunately I don't think you can alter that extra data from within MCEdit, which is sad. But I guess copying and pasting those modded blocks should work.
I was planning to completey erase my Overworld. Now that there's this new Galena Ore and because I have lots of little holes underground due to removing the Xycraft mod at some point. I guess I can safely delete all the chunks except those where my base is with MCEdit, but I think I'll follow my orignal plan anyway: transport all my stuff to the nether and delete the Overworld region files, then go back through the portal and have a brand new Overworld. My base isn't that sophisticated anyway, I've practically built nothing of any values except my IC2 machines. But they can be dismantled without loss.
So yeah, it's definitely possible to remove your Quarries with MCEdit, whether it's safe and won't break your game I don't know. I think it'll probably work just fine, since your quarries are far away and I think MCEdit will only overwrite those files, which are actually affected by any editing. I'd use chunk deletion, btw.

I don't see why you couldn't?

Well, the tnt would need to travel through loaded chunks, and by loading your chunks, the game would crash.
