Ftb Ultimate Crash

Best Answer digitallyApocalyptic , 19 July 2013 - 12:58 PM

@IamRoflmister: You appear to have encountered a recurring bug that is caused by an interaction between GregTech and Buildcraft. It is caused by placing a Conductive Pipe next to a machine which has not been upgraded with a Pneumatic Generator upgrade. This will cause a game crash. Here's what you'll want to do:

 1. Download MCEdit (you MUST get version 0.17 or higher, versions lower than 0.17 WILL corrupt your save file)

 2. Put MCEdit wherever you'd like on your computer.

 3. Launch MCEdit.

 4. Press O on your keyboard or press the Open a Level button.

 5. Navigate to your Feed the Beast directory. On most computers, it's C:/Users/YOURUSERNAMEHERE/AppData/Roaming/.feedthebeast/Ultimate/minecraft/saves, or it could be FTBDIRECTORY/.feedthebeast/Ultimate/minecraft/saves where FTBDIRECTORY is wherever you put your FTB launcher.

 6. Open up the folder containing your world file in the file browser and select level.dat.

 7. Navigate to approximate coordinates -512, 64, 64 (working off of the coordinates in your crash report here.)

 8. Find the conductive pipe and machine that you placed. Note that non-vanilla blocks appear as pink squares in MCEdit. Therefore, you'll have to work off of the block IDs (anything beginning with 702 is a GregTech machine) or work off of the location of the conductive pipe that you placed if you know where it is.

 9. Delete the conductive pipe by selecting it with your mouse and pressing Delete.

 10. SAVE YOUR WORLD by pressing Ctrl + S.

You are then free to exit MCEdit and your world should work fine. In future, apply a Pneumatic Generator upgrade before placing a Conductive Pipe adjacent to a GregTech machine, not afterwards.

Please place crash logs in spoiler tags, putting
before the crash log and
(without extra space between spoiler and the bracket) after it.

It appears you have a problem with Thaumic Bees. Provided that you haven't modified anything from the default FTB installation:

 • Click Options, click Force Update, then try launching again.

 • If that doesn't work, redownload Thaumic Bees; you'll want version 1.4.4a. Place it in the following directory: C:/Users/YOURUSERNAMEHERE/AppData/Roaming/.feedthebeast/Ultimate/minecraft/mods

 • If that doesn't work, redownload Forestry; you'll want version 2.0.0.11. Make sure that you get version 2.0.0.11, as it appears that getting earlier versions than this will break your save. Goes in the same directory as Thaumic Bees.

Other than not placing a Conductive Pipe adjacent to non-upgraded GregTech machines, there is no fix for this issue, at least not in the current versions of GregTech and Buildcraft that are available in the Ultimate Pack or as a MC1.4.7 release.
