Infamy visual and texture bugs?

Hello I have been using the Infamy pack a little while now and i just got optifine for it. The problem is that when I'm playing the blocks and water just suddenly blinks black. Kinda bugging out. It happens like every 20 seconds. Also the textures for different items starts disappering in the nei list of items. It makes it very hard to see what I'm going to make. Does anybody know why this is hapening?

A similar problem was happening to me when I was using Far render distance on Beta Pack A with OptiFine installed. I'd recommend turning down your render distance, as that stops textures from glitching for me. If I use too high of a render distance while playing FTB, textures bug out (on Beta Pack A, my Portal Gun would be made of an amalgam of wool block textures, as would my Q-suit, chests in the world would be random patterns of black, etc) and I would eventually crash without an error log. I suspect that it was related to running out of memory and/or indices to store textures in. Also, what items are disappearing from NEI? 


My username is digitallyApocalyptic. I contribute where I can on the wiki and I've previously built pretty much the entirety of Category:Twilight Forest. I play FTB Ultimate, some games on Steam, and I follow MS Paint Adventures.

Well alot of ores, all explosives from ICBM, all the weapons from Balkons, wires from AtomicScience and applied energistics ME stuff. Their texture has either disappered or turned into a grey square in nei.

Try temporarily disabling OptiFine, see if that helps. I'm not sure what to tell you other than to disable OptiFine, as Ampz has some really weird textures and meshes (e.g. the new power armor) so OptiFine may be freaking out and there's really no way to change that. I remember when I was trying out Ampz and using OptiFine on the lowest possible settings, I was still getting only about 15-20 FPS. It's also possible that it's an inherent bug with Ampz and there's no way to fix it. Since my framerate was so low when I tried Ampz, I've never really gotten into it.

I had a glitch that sounds like yours (blocks flashing visible/invisible) with optifine when I had mipmapping on and I believe chunk loading set to multi-core.

Try turning mipmapping off, and setting chunk loading to smooth.

That happened to me while using Tiny (+16)...

The textures for everything would slowly, one by one, turn into terrain.png.
