But... they are?
If they don't update the versions of the old ones to say "FTB Lite (v2.0.0)" or whatever, it's technically a... different modpack? Just with a similar name...

lol I see what you are saying but I will disagree and then drop this entirely. :P
As far as I care they only gave it a different name because it changed so much that people using the old version will not be able to update to the new version, but yeah.... I am dropping this.

Okay, I'm thinking that for Vanilla Stairs, Slabs, Saplings and Leaves we should just have a general article for all types of them. Even the Minecraft wiki does this and there are only a handful of FTB recipes that require say a specific slab.

Does this sound good or does anyone think we should stick to one article per item?

Maybe we should separate wooden and other stairs/slabs. There are already four different wood kinds in vanilla Minecraft and there are a whole lot more from other mods, so we should maybe make separate articles for wooden slabs/stairs, which list all different kinds of wood usable for them.

Well I was just thinking this would be for Vanilla items. I feel woods added by mods should be covered in more detail. There's also some usage problems, I believe I've had problems with saplings added by mods in say an MFR Bioreactor. If it was Vanilla only we wouldn't have to fill the page with mod incompatibility information.

What I mean is that we shouldn't make a separate page for each wood kind, but instead have a Wooden Slab page, which states, "Wooden Slabs can be made out of all Vanilla, Biomes o' Plenty, Forestry, Natura and Extra Trees." Maybe also have a full list.

Well, if their usage is all pretty much identical, I suppose that would work. I guess I'll leave it to whoever actually wants to write these pages and add it to the template when they're made.  ;)

That said, does our item template support multiple grid icons like the Minecraft Wiki's? Unless we take the individual article route that would be a nice thing to have.

Currently only with GIFs, but I might try making a javascript version once I get my infobox stuff done.

This is already supported for the large images in the item template. But I haven't gotten around to implementing it in for grids yet.
